Thanks to the airport's high status, travelers can easily choose a convenient route without having to look for alternative options in neighboring regions.

The airport is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of the center of Monterrey. You can get to the hotel by official taxi (paid at counters inside the terminal), a rented car, or by using comfortable bus expresses. The shortest and most popular route is from the city of Saltillo: the trip lasts only about an hour and a half, during which the express covers 85 kilometers through picturesque terrain.

For travelers heading from the border, regular flights from the cities of Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo are convenient. The distance from these points is approximately 220 kilometers, and travel time on modern highways varies from two and a half to three hours. Buses arrive at the main bus station, from where you can easily reach the center by taxi or metro.

Driving through northern Mexico offers the chance to appreciate high-quality expressways and the rugged beauty of mountain landscapes. The shortest and most scenic route is from the city of Saltillo: the distance of 85–90 kilometers can be comfortably covered in just over an hour. This is an excellent option for a quick trip, during which the scenery outside the window smoothly changes from desert valleys to the majestic peaks of the Sierra Madre Oriental.

Routes from border areas will take a bit more time but are also easy to navigate. A trip from the cities of Reynosa or Nuevo Laredo will take about two and a half to three hours, as you will have to drive about 220 kilometers. Many tourists prefer to rent a car for such transfers or use intercity taxi services, the rates for which are often fixed and quite affordable for a group of travelers.

2. Transport: The most convenient and safe way for a tourist to get around is using mobile taxi applications (for example, Uber or Didi). The city metro (Metrorrey) is clean and fast, but does not cover all areas, and the bus system can seem confusing without local knowledge.
3. Finances: The official currency is the Mexican peso. Bank cards are accepted almost everywhere: in hotels, restaurants and shopping centers. However, for purchases at markets, paying for travel or tipping, you should always have a small supply of cash with you.
4. Health and safety: It is strictly not recommended to drink tap water; only buy bottled water. The San Pedro Garza García area is considered one of the safest and most prestigious, but in the historic center and other areas at night it is better to stick to busy streets.
5. Communication: The main language is Spanish. Due to its proximity to the US border and its status as a business hub, the level of English proficiency here is significantly higher than the national average. Hotel staff, restaurants and many locals will be able to communicate with you in English.
6. Local etiquette: Local residents value politeness. It is customary to say hello when entering small shops or an elevator ("Buenos días" or "Hola"). Tipping is an important part of the service culture: in cafes and restaurants it is customary to leave 10–15% of the bill amount.
7. What to avoid: Do not hail a taxi on the street "by hand," as this can be unsafe; use official stands or applications. Also, try not to show large sums of money and expensive gadgets in crowded public places.
8. Additional tip: Be sure to schedule time for gastronomic discoveries. This region is famous for its meat dishes, so leaving without trying the famous "cabrito" (roasted kid) would be a great omission.
